Doors will be open from 5:45pm, you can arrive anytime from then onwards. Sometimes there may be members in earlier building the track and if you do arrive early you are welcome to come and assist with the build.
There will be tables setup and each table is to be split between two drivers due to the numbers we have at the club. Please feel free to sit wherever you like except the tables on stage which are reserved for committee. Please use a pit mat or towel as these tables do not belong to us.
Practice is open from when the track is complete until roughly 6:30pm as this is when we have drivers briefing with heat 1 on the line at 6:45pm sharp.
Heats will be made up by the race director and then printed. These will be handed out to all drivers between 6 and 6:30pm and you will have 3 heats assigned to you.
The scrutineer table can be found at the end of the hall closest to race control next to the monitor with live results.
All cars must be scrutineered before their first heat and also their final. For Heat 1 we aim to be scrutineering cars from 6:40pm to commence racing for 6:45pm. All subsequent heats will be scrutineered while the previous heat is racing.
Various committee and members can scrutineer. If you get to the scrutineer table and no one is there, please wait.
Once you have raced, return your car to your table and straight out to marshal at any of the 6 points around the track. If your heat has more than 7 cars then there may be no space, however please don't sit out everytime, please ensure you take your turn.
No children to marshal the middle point on the chair between the rostrum, adults only on this point.
Once the heats are complete there will be a short break while the finals are organised and posted on the cupboard beside the front door. Please check your final and note the order they will be run. The time the first final is due on the line will be announced on the night as this varies depending on numbers.
Please be aware that the winner of the B final is promoted to the A final.
That is it, you have officially completed your first night racing.
It's now all hands on deck to dismantle and put the track away. We appreciate anyone that can stay and help with this.
