Lothian Oval Racing Club invites YOU to join us for a special evening at our unique Racehall venue to not only witness the race cars up close and in person but to DRIVE THE RACE CARS YOURSELF!
On Tuesday 17th November 2026, LORC club members are making their 1/12th scale radio-controlled 1300 saloon cars, F2 stock cars, Bangers and MORE available for public trial runs on our purpose-built carpeted oval race track. If you’ve ever seen our content and thought you might like to race one of the cars but didn’t know where to start, this exclusive night will be your perfect introduction.
And with Christmas just round the corner, this could be just the inspiration needed for an unforgettable gift for the racer in the family who already has everything!
Experienced club members will be on hand to answer all your questions. Don’t know which car to start with? We’ll find the right one for you. Unsure what tools you might need to get going? Check out our pit tables for everything you need. Plus all the chat on motors, tyres, bodyshells, servos and transponders you can handle!
Why take up RC oval racing? RC racing is more than just quenching your need for speed. There’s technical skills to master which you can take into the real world. There’s real race car set-up dynamics to wrap your head around, just like you see on the TV. Not to mention the camaraderie: at Lothian Oval Racing Club, we pride ourselves on being a family-friendly, inclusive club. We run every week, perfect for expanding your social network and meeting people from all walks of life.
Doors open at 6.45pm with hands-on race car experiences from 7pm to 7.45pm.
